About us
The charlton family
Our farm story begins in 1862 with the initial purchase of 49.5 acres of land by James and Eliza Simpson. Over the years is has passed from generation to generation, and we have acquired a total of 325 acres.
Now, we are fifth and sixth generation farmers in Brant County, Ontario, Canada. We milk 55 purebred, homebred holsteins on a DeLaval V300 robot. Additionally, we farm 400 acres (including rented land) of soybeans, alfalfa, corn and wheat.
All four girls are involved in 4-H, showing their project animals at the local county fairs, as well as the Royal.
We can be found on Facebook @Elm Bend Farms, and Instagram @elm_bend_farms.

Pam Charlton
Pam received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph. She is employed full time at Holstein Ontario as the General Manager. In her spare time, she can be found completing the financial administration for the farm, as well as leading various 4-H clubs.

Raechel received her diploma in Interior Design from Georgian College, and offers her services through her company, Harvest Interiors. She can still be found at our local shows, and occasionally back home on the farm.
Reegan Charlton
Reegan is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. She works with registrations and administration, as well as daily tasks on the farm when she is home.

Of course we cannot do it all ourselves, we are surrounded by a tremendous farming community, as well as part time employees. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact us. We are always willing to accept co-op students and interns.
